>>24694499To get off of spoiler talk, I've noticed that too, but I'm not all too sure how good I feel about it. It might simply be my team (I picked Riolu and Oshawott intending to make a team I
write, but the lower team size and inability to nickname everyone else ruined those plans), but I feel like the changes do offer some good things, but ultimately make the difficulty wildly inconsistent.
And I mean, it's not like I'm exactly struggling with the game, I haven't even had any points where I've needed to be rescued yet. But there are times where I'll do a really easy-peasy mission and get rewarded with some high-level Pokemon to use, even though I feel like I didn't earn it, and then there's times where I'll go into a dungeon and get one-shot by an enemy Pokemon almost immediately, and then I get paranoid and actively avoid fighting the enemies rather than trying to get EXP. I don't feel like there's any kind of difficulty curve, so while it is challenging, it also makes me want to avoid taking on many missions because I have no idea how they're going to be.
The improved team AI is nice, at least, though I wish they'd stop going out of their way to grab items and just follow me like usual. Follow Me does that, but then they're not as prone to attacking enemies.
>>24694545You don't need to spoil anything about the cameos from previous games, anon, they're pretty much worthless in terms of "connecting all the games together". You could remove all the fanservice and just have all of the Pokemon be random NPCs and the game wouldn't lose anything in the slightest. It's actually pretty disappointing.
