If there was a Kanto game where the map designs are updated to be like Unova and Kalos rather than being based on literally the first game I wouldn't mind playing through it again.

That's what killed ORAS for me with going back to the square map design which is so bland coming from XY.

We won't be getting Kanto remakes in the foreseeable future. The eShop rereleases replace their remake this time

Gen 7 or 8 will probably have DP remakes. I only want this if they include Platinum elements

Unless GF does it fucking job and makes something worth to call a remake like HGSS. There's nothing wrong with making remakes but when they are poorly done of course you'll complain about it.

It was nice for RG/GS, since they were so outdated (and are the heart of the series), but after ORAS I really don't want any more.

Full-on sequels would be ok, though.
