Except Ever Grande has literally no people AT ALL

Can't blame that on size limitations. The absurdity of having a city with no people and no accessible buildings is probably why all the Leagues from Gen 4 on are just called "Pokémon League."

It would'be been cool to have the Pokemon League in an actual city.
I remember really hoping it would be the case when I first played the games and saw Ever Grande City on the map.

If theres one Pokemon cliche I'm bored of, its gym leaders specialising in a type the area clearly represents, like using Ice mons cause you live in a snowy area.
Flannery kind of mixed this up, being based on and around a hot spring and having Fire pokemon, but its still at the foot of a volcano.
