The formatting on your post suggests that you mean "It wouldn't resemble Light Arrow, it would resemble Solar Beam (which in itself resembles Light Arrow as a Final Smash, given that it already was a Final Smash) or Leaf Storm (which it can't resemble since Leaf Storm is present in Smash)

Just because a Pokéball Pokémon already uses a certain move doesn't mean a playable Pokémon can't. Zoroark's Night Slash and Greninja's Final Smash are identical.

I'm ok with literally any grass starter getting in except Sceptile. Sceptilefags are the worst.

I'd prefer a quadruped Pokemon like Torterra or Ivysaur/Venusaur or something like Serperior for a more unique fighting style.

I just feel like Sceptile would work the best because we don't have a Gen 3 rep and it's dumb that OR/AS got no content in Smash besides a couple of trophies. At this point I would be happy with any Grass-type though.

Fair point. That was kind of a weird aberration of a future game being represented in Smash.

But I don't see why ORAS needed any representation, honestly. It was a remake. There was very little "new" about it that would be suitable for Smash and wouldn't have been possible to include back in Brawl. Focusing on BW and XY was the right call, as those were the completely new games released between Brawl and Smash 4. At most some new Gen III music might have been nice, but I think that going as far as new characters or stages was unnecessary.

Chesnaught is the best possible option for Sm4sh.
Good brawler with a removable shield, would make you able to switch between Donkey Kong or Bowser heavyweight style with its shield on to Mii Brawler's or Little Mac's style without the shield.

Sceptile is going to be featured in the XY&Z arc of the anime, so it currently has more relevance than the other grass starters, although I could see Venusaur and Blastoise getting in to celebrate Pokémon's 20th anniversary.
