Greetings. Today the nature of my post is a little different from usual. I couldn't help but notice how people are complaining how these boards are shit, how /wfg/ is a circlejerk, and so onwards. I see a lot of dark these days, and almost no kindness except from a few people these days.

I'm tired of shitposting. It might be a long shot, but for all I've gotten from this board, I might as well try to light a candle instead of cursing the darkness.

I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, to the people the me some time ago became acquainted with through this board, to the people who again got me to embark on a journey, thank you.

These days, I see a lot of vitriolic hatred, and I can understand. I too was the same, in a way. The world was grey, and boring. It was a point in my life where nothing made sense, I had nothing to strive for and the entire world against me, or so I felt. All I did was study for something I did not even know I wanted, and that was honestly frustrating.

And then, for one reason or another, you people happened. It happened so fast. I recall clearly just wanting one shiny mon, because I had seen it in a webcomic once, and remembered I had always wanted it, so I needed breeding stock for it, and there was a thread for breeding leftovers where one kind anon gave me the stuff I needed.

That's how my journey began.

Now, I've gone to the point where I've made long lasting friendships in real life thanks to Pokémon. I've become strong enough to attend real life tournaments, tough them out and come out stronger and not be a dumbass anymore. I've fallen in love and gotten dumped, travelled to places, met new people, and it's all thanks to that. I find this absurd to say from a logical standpoint, but playing Pokémon and browsing /vp/ ended up improving my quality of life.

So, thank you to all the people who made it possible. Rock on, anons, and please don't forget. Even if we're anonymous, don't forget we're still /tr/ainers. See ya.
