When was the last time Scizor got a figurine released?
When was the last time someone talked about Scizor for any reason besides its Mega or competitive value?

Who even knows what a Scizor is except for people who play competitively or remember it from Gen 2 as "Scyther's evolution"? we're talking about regular people, the majority of Pokemon who barely pays attention to things let alone memorizes 721 Pokemon

Ken Sugimori loves anything he's ever done. I'm quite sure he keeps his own farts in jars so he can smell them later on. When you think of push-mons, some of the most immediate examples that come to mind are Lucario, Blaziken and maybe Gengar.

Venusaur didn't get a particulary bad treatment in spite of that. He's been consistently the best starter across all 6 generations, both in-game and in competitive.
