>>24723563Completely different things. I fucking hated the characters in Persona 4, they were nothing. Sure the 3 cast was annoying as fuck but that was what made them endearing, you didn't really want to save the world with them until near the end. Not to mention 3's characters constantly had development throughout the game, 4's characters get them during their dungeon and that's it unless you do their Social Links, which has no impact on how they act in the main story because they all do fucking nothing anyway. Then there's "Literally nothing: the story". I'm not into muh edge but I'd take 3's story anyday over 4, fuck I don't even like Persona 3 that much, I just don't get how anyone can say they are the same thing when Persona 4 is barely anything other then a glorified dating sim while 3 actually has a story and characters that develop throughout.
Both had shit villains though. Ryoji sucked ass and Adachi is just a meme. 4 had good girls at least? I don't know man, I was so into Persona 4 when I first played it but looking back it now and with every other playthrough I've tried to do it just falls so flat, it's like everyone tries to give it a pass by going "OH BUT IT'S SO STYLISHHH!"
I hope 5's better. And I fucking hope it doesn't handle party member social links the same retarded ass way 4 did.
