Actually save corruption is even more likely on digital because they can't guarantee you won't use a shitty $4 sdcard designed for phones.

This is why my entire livedex, bred and trained pokemon, Hexaperfect Sevens, apricorn mons, etc is on Bank. If something happens to my save, it's only game progress I lose.

Start new game
Save
Backup the new save
Open hex editor
Copy the secure value
Paste the secure value into your old save
Place your old save into the save manager folder
Restore your old save
