If you kept up with the series, you'd have all of the event Pokemon from over the years. You'd also have a DS from when you played Gen 4 & 5 and a 3DS from playing Gen 6, so you could even trade with yourself and transfer if you really don't have any friends. Not to mention the fact that the games have online trading.
If you kept up with the series, you could easily have most, if not all of the previous Pokemon already, and if you didn't keep up, you can catch them all in Gen 6.
So really, you're just saying "it takes time and I don't wanna". Which is honestly fine, but don't act like it's some impossible task.
