Let me tell you, the responses you're going to get will probably be Crystal and Emerald. But /vp/ also thinks HGSS are the best games, so I wouldn't trust /vp/'s opinion.

They have the most features and often iron out the kinks of earlier versions (especially in Yellow's case). Emerald even has a neat little cloning glitch that no other gen III games have.
