>>24788566They're different enough from the other games for me to not consider them obsolete by FRLG.
I like the Special stat. Makes Pokemon viable that aren't later in the series, like Hypno.
I like Speed affecting Crit ratio. I actually think this should still exist, unlike the Special stat which is fine split, but it's a great change of pace.
Backsprites are shit. This is my only real complaint.
People who bitch about Gen I or whatever or any Gen are 99.99% of the time absolutely retarded. Every Pokemon game is exactly the same. They are all just graphical updates. Only thing that comes with a new Gen that one-ups the previous Gen is new Pokemon, but new Pokemon don't mean much in the grand scheme of things, since you can't get every Pokemon in any game.
There are things about RBY that are superior to later games. Like how un-handholdy it is. Not being constantly interrupted every 5 seconds by some obnoxious NPC who dances or whatever and tells you how Potions work 6 times is fucking incredible. That is an issue that has gotten a lot worse as the series progressed.
The only Gen I would say you could call inferior would be IV and ONLY because of how slow everything is. Menus, battle animations, PC, everything. Not to mention that choppy half-the-framerate-of-a-GBA-game shit. But even still, I do still like those games.Other than graphics, it's just go around and battle/collect badges. Every game. To be honest Pokemon games aren't really good games at all. I love them, but mainly because I like Pokemon, the creatures themselves, so much. As a game in itself, they're all awful pieces of babby shit that a first-grader could easily solo with whichever starter they pick.
I guess tl;dr Gen I other than grafix is no different in quality than any other Pokemon game and people who say it's worse are almost always underage retards who most likely don't like Charizard because it's popular. And I've never played Undertale. Should I?
