>>24793538It depends on the size and the ideologies of said fandom, though, that makes them truly annoying.
The Mario fandom, for instance, is full with Rosalinafags, underage, losers, and other pieces of shit, but you won't see grown ass men going out and trying to say that being a Mario fan means anything. Well, there might be some, but you get the point.
Something like Undertale, though, which appeals to far more tumors from the tumblrtards to the furries to nonbinaries to whoever the fuck else is significantly worse. Its a game with an audience of milennials, progressive liberals, edgy kids/manchildren, so that each of these groups can appear cool and modern by spamming memes related to it or talking how deep and cool it is while referring to its cuteness or whatever. Its very indicative of the new left wing paradigm shift, something I personally despise despite considering myself a left winger to begin with.
Say what you will about the gameplay of Undertale, or even games like Pokemon Reborn who suffer from similar audience limitations, but I hope that view of these games does quickly and stays dead, not because they're bad, but because of what they attract. This will probably happen given this generation's emphasis on trends and speed.
