Pikachu's name is the same in all languages, and therefore the pun in its name isn't lost in translation. At least 95% of the Pokedex would only suffer if given the same treatment unless they shelled out money for multiple voiceovers just for a single Pokemon. Believe me, if it was only because of muh favoritism then Lucario would've been voiced as well. You know how much they love the aura dick.
