>>24825459Send in RaikoP. Active renders her immune to banquet, and she's decently bulky against physical attacks so Medicine's uninvested base 80 attack stat won't be that effective against her. Use Upbeat and shut Banquet down completely, then use Lightning Speed to switch out to something that can rip Medicine to pieces (or whatever it is you chose to switch in).
None of the users of Banquet are very popular at all in online play, even with the ridiculousness of 100% accuracy sleep in a meta with no sleep clause. Good idea on paper, but in reality it doesn't really hold up.
>>24825537This. Defensive teams are definitely viable, but you have to be much more proactive rather than reactive. There's a reason MamizouD is #2 on the usage charts; she's a great place to start in that regard.
Decredendo isn't that common unfortunately, but SatoriD gets it and she's very good for a defensive team (Magic Bounce for an ability, 100/100/100 defenses, illusion typing is great defensively; only issue is no HP recovery outside of continue). RaikoA also gets it and she's pretty similar to the Rotom formes defensively so that's worth a mention as well.
Trapping enemies is also worth a mention; Assist Chen can lock basically anyone down with her Adverse Wind ability and revenge kill them if needed (base 125 speed outspeeds most things and if you slap a choice specs on will be enough to finish most weakened things off, beware that AyaP and FutoS won't be trapped and do outspeed you, and that SukunaD can just priority you to death)
You can definitely win without hyper offense or set-up sweepers, but you can't just sit around and keep forcing switches with walls until entry hazards kill things. It won't work here and it's basically designed to not work here, because it's really boring to sit through and not fun.
I like how a good chunk of stall being unviable is "SukunaD exists", just because she's so tiny and adorable.
