I hate it so much when people say that your favourite pokemon can't be a legendary. My favourite pokemon by far is Rayquaza, I mean, just look at how awesome this dude is. Saying that a person can't have a legendary as their favourite is like saying that Han Solo is killed by his son Kylo Ren in the new Star Wars movie.
