ITT: Real world animals that would make for cool pokemon

Pic related: The Mountain Stone Weta is an insect that allows its body to freeze solid over the winter, then thaw in spring and carry on being a cool bug. Would be a great basis for an Ice/Bug type.

I know Lanturn exists, but a Water/Dark type pokemon based on Deep Sea Anglerfish would be really cool. Especially if the male couldn't evolve at all, and the female could only evolve by leveling up while you have a male in your party.

Placoderms are actually more primitive than Lobe-finned fish and evidence lately leads to a Placoderm ancestor to all jawed fish.
If anything, what you want is a primal reversion OR an evolution like Piloswine -> Mamoswine while it knows a certain move (maybe Crunch?)

Southern Lapwing is a prime candidate for regional bird.
Yes those things are spurs on its wings. Get close to its nest and it will shank you.
Flying/Fighting final evo is alright too.

And the Red Ovenbird could be a decent single-evo dex filler.
Flying/Ground with high defenses and Stockpile.
If you really want to use his gimmick for an area you can have a forest or small village full of the nests since they'll only use the nests once and never use another bird's.
