Genwunning is the oddman out in this cultural stew, not just /vp/. The problem is the lack of staying current, not the "true fandom" image you think you're projecting. In 5-10 years from now, not many currently into the series is gonna know who the fuck Brock and Misty are when they appear in a Pokemon parody filled with season 1 jokes. That's a fact of life. You might have some "us fans, right" nods but a lot of those guys are the out of touch fogeys.
