I really like slow hard hitters but in this meta, even these two are no longer considered capable of withstanding more than one to two hits. They used to be tanks, but now they're just tanking (the bad kind). Which is a shame because pokemon of their design and calibre shouldn't be fainting like bitches in the field.
I'd like to see a real defensive fighting type with decent attack. By defensive, I mean with a good ratio of HP/Def/SpDef, and not a shitty falf-assed very high HP but paper-thin defenses (you know who I'm talking about).
Maybe a spread of 105/120/100/45/100/35 (it's minmaxed, yes, but in these days, mostly the only way you can circumvent a nonmixed spread is with a special snowflake ability. Something I intend to stay away from). So it's really a lot more defensive than either Machamp and Conkeldurr but trades off some of the attack power.
Ability could be Guts (to boost attack, and it seems to be standard for slow bulky attackers and similar build fighting types), maybe Defiant and Adaptability (HA) for the remaining options.
Give it access to Sucker Punch as a form of priority different from its two predecessors, Drain Punch may be a must (although it dangerously hovers playing too close to Conkeldurr's style), Counter, Revenge, Circle Throw, etc.
Maybe give it access to Trick Room? But that's wishful thinking.
