This is why I filtered everything PMD-related in the board as soon as it got released in America until I beat it, and hid everything that looked like PMD while covering/trying my hardest to not see/read.

Well, you can spam earthquake and hit everything except charizard.

Also, charizard will cover your only 4x weakness with a 4x resistance and clean anyone left

I'm still really early in the game (only at Nectar Meadow), so I don't think that would benefit me until long after the main game since you can't evolve until after the story, right?

Yeah, still water and ground moves offers good coverage. Smokescreen and dragon rage are petty good too. Fire, water and ground will have perfect coverage with almost any other move.

Orbs. Totter and Slumber Orbs work wonders, and pack as many reviver seeds as you can. Blast seeds work too for raw power, they do like 100 a pop.

As always, Evolution isn't an automatic thing. You need to physically force it through whatever postgame setup they have for it now. I haven't gotten to the point where mons can evolve but I can say that stones are more or less completely gone and any mon that required outside help to evolve can do so immediately once they have access to the evolution area, barring a few exceptions that simply will not evolve ever.
