It's a shame they went for the two predictable mascots. It would've been nice to see something like Machamp there.

On the other hand, the art is decent. They probably went for the one-on-one rather than the group picture to set it apart from Smash.

Between having two Pikachu, this cover art and the weird local multiplayer (you have to use the game pad), this game has some questionable design choices.

That's even worse. They wasted a significant amount of time and resources on a worthless character when Hawlucha should have been in instead.

I feel so conflicted. I want to play this game badly, but I don't want to buy a Wii U just to play it. I'm praying that the NX will be backwards compatible with the Wii U or that this game has a port/sequel on the NX.

Multiplayer isnt weird by any means. Pokken's battle perspective isnt static like in 2D fighters like Street Fighter or Smash, so having a seperate screen for each player is pretty much a must.

Their faces are plastered on all of the arcade machines, and the image on the box art is the exact same image from the official site.

This game shifts between a 2D perspective and a 3D perspective

Having both players use the same screen is impossible for a game like this, and splitscreen would be complete fucking shit
