>>24906396>>>24906275 (You)>Cheren and Bianca had better characterization than any of the other rivalsPush over and designed to lose. They talk and talk, but they don't do anything.
>The gym leaders actually did things outside the gym, making them way more memorableSimilar to the rivals. They talk more, but don't actually do anything. They won't let you battle them until you deal with team Plasma for them. Not memorable at all.
>The E4 was decently challenging if you weren't overleveled. Certainly stronger than gen 3 or 6Not at all. I had underleveled for my first play through and they were ridiculously easy. Modt boring themes of any E4 as well. They are the antithesis of what is wrong with gen 5: the edgiest types- psychic, dark, ghost, and fighting; no challenge- even Cheren bests them; no actual champion fight with Adler- the game empty and unmotivated.
>Soundtrack was the best next to gen 4It was awful. I tried to listen to it while playing, but I had too much respect for those near me.
>Yeah god forbid different takes on the same Pokemon concept, not like every other gen does this, sometimes within the same genRipoffs of Geodude line, machop line, hitmons, bats. Everything is a blob, is covered in veins or muscles, or has so many protrusions that it is classified as edgy.
>Reusable TMs were a godsend, but it's not about revolutionary features, it's about game qualityIt's just lazier now. TMs were breakable for a reason. You were only meant to get one of most of them. Made breeding what it is.
>Triple and rotations are fun, git gudWorst battle designs.
>Writing was still better than the other gamesNo. Just no. No writing is better than this writing. After gen 2 the writing sucks. Less does way more.
