Doesn't help that Rock is still a shitty defensive type. And Rock-types are pretty much slow and defensive: the archetype

Could catapult M-Diancie to Ubers, Ttar becomes much, much more interesting than ever before, as does Terrakion. Tyrantrum may rise a bit, and for a short time probably Rhyperior. The rest of all these stone-types still stays shitty.

If you think SR isn't balanced just because of the unfortunate side-effect of completely ruling out one or two mediocre Pokemon then you might actually be stupid.
