But I realize I was somewhat being a shitposter, so I'll give you my two cents.
In all actuality, let's be real. I enjoy both games, but no matter what you like, it's very clear that Pokemon's popularity has reached the point of self-sustinence. Talking about Pokemon Killers is honestly a moot point because it doesn't matter what Pokemon puts out, even if it's a pokemon breeding simulator, it's at least guaranteed to sell a million copies within the first month. That's just what Pokemon is, and it has too much momentum for something to stop it in its tracks.
Am I saying Pokemon won't be killed. Ehhh, I don't know about that. I think it's more likely that it will stop of its own accord rather than die, but I won't rule out the possibility of a killer. What I am saying is that the chance of it happening now is just barely non-zero. Trace amounts of a chance. If something does kill Pokemon, it will need to be a combination of multiple bad choices from gamefreak, and an alleged PKer excelling over a long period of time. Years.
