Trick Room and Tailwind

I'm trying to make a doubles team, and I considered making the teams around either Trick Room or Tailwind, but the I thought are they even viable anymore in any metagame?

VGC15? They're okay, but not needed. VGC16? You're pretty much forced to run one of those. Smogon doubles? Dunno.

in doubles yes Trick Room is very good if the team is made well, Tailwind isn't really a team archetype but it's a useful tool you can have for offensive teams
