There is no "joke" YOu have to think of this on the scale when it comes out. To 4chan, its "Ha ha, how funny, just like /b/." but to the modern public (Who WILL get ahold of, and play this thanks to youtubers) will think "Wow, how immature, this is so 4chan."
Worst part is, Thanks to Ko-taku people are expecting a cool pokemon fangame (Sage) to come out, instead they're getting a tree shitting ogre because its less work, less polish but the quicker one to come out. People will think Sage devolved into THAT monstrosity.
