hey haven't played pokemon ever since blue, heard that they're being rereleased on 3ds so i thought i'd get into it again. is X/Y or Alpha Ruby any good?
persians my favorite btw, i used a meowth because i loved the old anime

XY are pretty much just like RBY, but with new Pokemon, new region, much better gameplay and generally much better. still not as good as BW2 if you ask me, but at least better than ORAS. a lot of Pokemon selection and a lot of genwun pandering, so you might like it OP

XY are a lot of fun, especially the first play through.
I played gens 1 and 2, then quit. I came back for XY and loved it and ORAS.
Persian took a hit after gen 1 because speed is no longer a factor for critical hits.

Came back for XY, and have since played every main game.

I personally liked the new games, XY was the better of the two IMO but ORAS was good as well. If you're open to the changes Game Freak has made, then give it a shot.
