I've always thought an encounter with a Hypno could make for an incredible scene in a live action pokemon movie. In my mind the psychic effects were always similar to effects of psilocybin mushrooms, especially mixed with weed for a bit more drowsiness. The scene I imagine goes something like this...
>Camping in the woods with some friends on our way to a pokemon gym
>Late at night me and a friend leave the campfire for a short walk
>Headed down the forest trail to a nearby field to look at stars or something
>Hear a sound that makes me jump (barely audible hypno cry)
>"Shit, did you hear that?"
>"It was probably nothing, maybe a Rattata"
>Shine flashlight through the trees, getting a little bit spooked.
>So dark in this dense forest and my flashlight doesn't seem to go very far
>Swear to god I see two dim, green orbs staring at me from the shadows
>"Shit!" Suddenly, I was feeling dizzy
>"What? Whats wrong?"
>Starting to panic and I don't know why. "I think we should head back to camp, this doesn't feel right."
>Look back at trail, it seems to be twisting around and between the trees and I can't tell which direction is which.
>"What do you mean head back we jef pel sjepo fka"
>"What the fuck? What are you saying? I'm confused. Did I just say something?"
>Having a hard time walking straight, stumbling like i'm drunk.
>Drop my flashlight and it turns off. Struggle to pick it back up, fall down and cut my arm on a stick or rock or god knows what
>Can't turn my flashlight back on for the life of my, i'm hitting the god damn button and it just won't work.
>My friend's light is still on. Where it shines I can see, but everything is slowly swirling, I can't make anything out.
>Into the darkness I can make out a point of light that draws my attention
>I can't look away from the small, silvery ring in the distance. Swinging from side to side like a pendulum
>The tempo of the light gradually slows down and forms a trail behind its movement
>I begin to lose consciousness...
