A breakup says a lot about a person in terms of how they can act at their worst, if they were violent and abusive it really might not be worth it to go back no matter how fond some or a lot of the memories are. Think of yourself anon. Please try to do something to not feel as lonely, join some irc groups or something if you're a neet, actual loneliness obscures a lot of rational thought in really subtle ways sometimes.
I've been in almost the exact situation and we ended up cutting each other off entirely. Please try to listen, dating someone really isn't everything and having at least online friends has made things so much better in my case. Loneliness really can make you delusional.
