>>25010619It's actually very common to protect ralts, in fact one could say that their trainer is the one that teaches them how, the benefits, the emotional feedback, and much more. After all, ralts aren't very strong on their own. Many can't even use confusion.
"Never needs protecting"? I don't think there's any Gardevoir alive that would describe their trainer this way.
That's not to say that there aren't any people that come close. It's just that even as a Ralts they've learned their trainer's strengths, weaknesses, insecurities, secrets, and much more because humans are practically broadcasting these things for empathic psychics like Ralts or Kirlia to pick up on.
A ralts will pick up on the emotions you're more prone to get manipulated by, the amount of drinks it takes for you to start becoming clumsier, and even when their emotions are affecting their performance.
This is all more or less effortless because it's all being passively picked up like a sixth sense through their horns. They'll always find something you'll need support with, which often includes protecting you from the hazards of day to day life.
We often think gardevoir protecting us just means in life or death situations, but they also help their train emotionally, mentally, try to catch any missteps, and to them there's always some part of a trainer that needs covering.
