>>25000662I would be completely alright with it if gen 7 had zero new pokemon if they allowed us to fuse pokemon in some way, or allowed for hybrid breeding down to one generation. I don't even need anything crazy, just a couple of variants on each pokemon that is capable of breeding, and they'd obviously only have to do it within the egg group that is compatible. Cherrim/Liligant would be the cutest fucking thing ever, and Cofagrigus/Gengar would be the creepiest, most psycho pokemon ever. Just toss in some small advantage like adding a second type or giving it access to the mixed parent's moves and you'd suddenly have a way to make some under-used pokemon phenomenal while also making them look cool as hell. Even if we don't get any *brand new* pokemon, mixing them together will give us so much variety that it won't even matter. We'll have hundreds of new mons to play with.
