Ah, whatever.
There is no bad main game. X/Y are somewhere in the middle (above Game Boy games but below DS games for me). They are good for breeding and great for varied playthroughs (since Pokedex is huge). I wish they had a little more content or didn't remove so much from earlier gens though.

Typically, the third versions (see: Emerald, Platinum. BW2) include a bunch of improvements and additions over the original two games. If you haven't played XY yet then it's a much better idea to wait until Z/XY2 are released.

Even turning the exp share off and 0 grinding I didnt have one mon faint the entire game
At least in emerald there is some challenge, and the battle frontier is the best post game of any pokemon game by far
