>>25014899Good up until the Gym Leader part.
I'd totally be okay with a challenging Pokemon game where you're actually the underdog clawing your way to victory.
I especially really like the whole "Your Pokemon leaves you at your first battle." thing and you actually have to capture one of the local Pokemon native to the area, and you DON'T start off with a super special one that could, with a bit of grinding, carry you through the entire game.
You start the game as some unknown loser that slowly gets better. I honestly wouldn't mind if the beginning of the game was really long as you work your way up to being able to challenge the gym leader who humiliated you.
As you go through the game it remains a challenge, you eventually have rematches against everyone who humiliated you in the beginning and make them see you for the true trainer you are, the general attitude the NPCs have toward you changes more and more the more badges you earn, and the final battle is actually against your rival, the one who picked the Pokemon who had a type advantage over yours.
The Pokemon who left you was caught by your rival and tries to join you when he or she loses, and you can either accept and keep it or say no and it stays with it's current trainer knowing it'll always be with the second best.
Alternatively this trainer never beats one of the first four gyms and gives up, and will challenge you in an attempt to make him/herself feel better.
It's like we're Gary Oak, but instead of being the jerk who loses in the end we're the underdog who claws our way to fame and glory.
Also if it's a 4chan made game add in obligatory in-depth dating segments and tons of other cool side things.
