Also the fact that it didn't reverse typing and become Psychic/Dark - just to add to the silly gimmick factor.

Plus, it needs a Mega evo where it flips once more and becomes a Cthulhu-esque monster.

I love Malamar, I just wish it were better competitively. It's got a pretty bad movepool, an awkward speed tier where it's too fast for Trick Room but needs it to not get rekt by all the common shitters, and lackluster stats in pretty much everything.

Malamar's one of the more solid designs. It's evolution progression makes perfect sense, cleverly plays on the idea of how a squid has no technical "up" or "down", and does a good job at looking Psychic and Dark. It does look like it could be water, but pretty much only because it's a squid, nothing in it's design says otherwise.

Plus the fucker looks like it's scheming and shit, I love it.

Yeah, same. It's a really small nitpick, but I think it'd be cooler if it was levitating and the "feet" fins were tied together like normal.
