Either way, I like Imperial for height for a different reason. Human height is slightly variable depending on when you measure it, with people being marginally taller after waking up than before going to bed. The difference can exceed 1cm, but typically won't exceed 1in without severe back problems. So measuring height in centi/meters is more prone to error than measuring in feet/inches.
