Why doesn't GameFreak make a game where you can go through all known regions, capture all Pokémon, participate in all canon leagues while having huge landscapes that look pretty in 3d graphics?

It would easily be GOTY.

Because it sounds much more cooler than it actually is. What's the point of roaming through a region once you've beaten the E4 already. GSC had Kanto and it was just running from one gym to another. It was a neat throwback, but not fun gamedesign. Locations in Pokémon games have been made with certain context in mind, you start the game in Pallet Town, catch your first bug pokémon in Viridian Forest, get your first gym badge in Pewter etc. Once you throw that context away every location is just a few NPC's with limited lines, trainers you're far ahead of and wild Pokémon that don't fit in your party anymore.

Nah. I don't Buy Pokémon games for It's graphics. Pokémon XY and possibly Z have beautiful Graphics. go play the GTA video game series for graphics.
I have no interest in any of that.

Graphics are not needed, true, but it would be nice to get something better. We are on the eighth generation and Pokémon looks like it's still stuck on the past one.
