I dont mind the rough idea of having to train up a team.. in fact, I think that's a potentially fun idea
especially if they added some sort of co-op aspect where you could train pokemon while casually playing with a friend , but with IV's unnecessarily clogging up the process, and no way to easily and quickly reverse/change natures and EV's, it becomes a huge chore. This is compounded by the fact that, for every member on a desired team, youll likely be trying out 4-5 different variants of the same pokemon if youre serious about getting good. Not to mention, switching out pokemon altgoether, or just straight making an entirely new team.
It's very clearly a result of the devs not intending for this sort of play to occur, but going with the flow once it caught on with players without thoroughly revising how it's done.
