They literally have the same rooms, except ORAS doesn't let you cheese the gym with Aron and Sableye.

because it's not an optional post-game area. And if they wanted to copy Emerald why didn't they take any elements from it that would actually make the game BETTER? sure is convenient.

Yeah and in return they let me cheese every other gym with exp share, a legendary jet dragon, and mega evolutions.

you still don't need it to actually complete the game like you do in Emerald.

and by your logic I guess they should have disallowed the player from evolving their mudkip or catching a nincada. Wouldn't want to cheese Wattson with your ground types, right? LOL

I seriously doubt that considering it only starts really giving a noticeable effect until Winona.

Are you alright in the head? Do you need help?
Wattson's Pokemon and his gym's trainers at least have moves of other types. In the Dewford gym NO ONE but Brawly has a Pokemon that can hit Sableye. And even then ONLY in Emerald Makuhita loses Knock Off, thus making it even easier.

Really? I love that dungeon, it's optional, somewhat difficult with its switch puzzle doors and you get a Thunderbolt tm as a reward. Also it brings a touch of lore to Wattson and Mauville.
