Seasons were a feature that they didn't have to remove, it made the game more realist besides the Day/Night cycle. (At least Carlos region has four different seasons depending of the area.)

You don't even know if that isn't going to come back. Only reason it wasn't in OR/AS is because it's a remake and it wasn't included because nostalgia, just like how the pokécenter and pokémart are seperate.
