Wouldn't surprise me but GF wouldn't dare sully their name like other AAA companies. Besides GF and Nintendo have always been very nice to their customers to do some messed up stuff. As for the hacks, you shouldn't be cheating unless of course you are doing it in a hack battle with other hackers

There's no way to detect hacks when they're done properly, and if they aren't done properly you can't battle with them anyway, they won't pass the hack check. Nothing changes for the last thing, the game goes further to shit than it already is with the first one, the second one would be fine if it were an in-game item.

Before I continue, I'd like to point out that you spelled "offense" wrong. But I digress, you already can't battle with mons that won't pass the hack check, and I doubt that has anything to do with profit; you already bought their game, and thus they already have your money.
