So why didn't Nintendo keep making new Pokewalker accessories for every generation? Seems a more parent-approved peripheral than 'go on a website'.

The 3DS has a built-in pedometer, so the thing's main novelty is kind of obsolete.

Why do people want additional hardware? People generally don't carry around cameras, mp3 players and phones separately anymore because smartphones combine all that hardware. Why should this be different?

I don't. Literally threw mine away with the box when I bought the game. I just wanted to play a game, not do other stupid extracurricular horseshit.

The pokewalkers were cool. Bringing them to cons also meant a fucking TON of free items.

Also got my surfing pikachu thanks to it.

Too bad it couldnt be transferred to newer games, so it was fucking pointless. Same with Notch ear Pichu.
