The Jap name for orichalcum is オリハル, (oriharu), not オリカル. It's a letter off. That's extremely tenuous. Since Japanese is phonetic, changing a letter doesn't really fly as wordplay. I've seen some stuff where they change a が to a か for a joke, but going from か to は is just too much of a stretch.
tl;dr the orichalcum thing is bullshit Bulbapedo trivia, except they cannot into Japanese to save their own lives.
