>>25072226Well the few moves I attempted to create don't look nearly as good as OP's (I just copied existing animations, maybe added an extra effect or changed the sound clip, like my Fairy Wind is just Razor Wind with a different sound effect), but yeah, you have the gist of it. Basically the way I figure out anything in this disassembly is by looking at how similar things are done, analyzing them, and copying what they do exactly, changing what's needed to get the effect I want. Pic related is what the code for move animations look like, this specific one is just me copying Flash, removing the shake animation at the end and adding a flashing animation at the end (the one that appears when a Pokémon gets hit).
>>25072258Well that wouldn't work exactly. You'd want to make a different effect copied from Baton Pass but remove the "new Pokémon has the same stat changes as the old one" effect, otherwise the move would have a combined U-Turn and Baton Pass effect.
