Some people think the Super Bowl was a Pokemon GO ad even though it didnt even mention GO and we had other promotional stuff with 3d pokes in it

They literally spent $5M to go "hey guys pokemon still exists you know" and didn't actually advertise anything at all. No games, nothing upcoming, nada.

They rush the fuck out of ORAS and then piss away millions of dollars elsewhere.

And that's actually pretty important at this point since a lot of people grew up with Pokemon, haven't even thought about it in years, might not even realize it's still around, and are now in their 20s with cash to blow on childhood nostalgia.

I like to think they began working on the next game right after ORAS, and have been working on it since, so there wasn't any "dead time".
