Only 2hkos Golem, so it needs to hit it on a switch-in, otherwise it gets 2hko'd by faster EQ.

I'm attempting a non-cheating run of Blue. I am debating whether to create a smogon approved Tauros by using up all my TM's like earthquake/blizzard (Body slam is locked in), or create more diversity by teaching earthquake to Rhydon instead, thus sacrificing some of Tauros's coverage

It doesn't really matter for Blue, but not having EQ on Rhydon means surrendering one of the strongest "free" attacks in the game. I don't remember Omastar and Kabutops being that common either, so the only real coverage you'll lose on Tauros is Gengar if you only run Blizzard.
