Ambipom isn't complete garbage since it shits on HO, but Mega Lopunny is better in every way. f you already used your mega slot, I can sorta understand using Ambipom, though.

Landorus and Rotom fuck it hard, but Heatran can't switch in if you predict it since it gets 2HKO'd by Low Kick. But that's all Balance team stuff. Ambipom is for shitting on HO, where it outspeeds most threats and OHKO's Gengar and Latios with Knock Off.
