Beauty, non in a social construct, is also an evaluation of something's physical worth or allure. Like when you look at a shiny red stone called a Ruby and you go "Ooh pretty" or if you look at a clod of mud and say "Ew gross."
Beauty, the definition of, and the search of are afterimages of a primal suvivalistic species that we used to be. Nowadays, its mostly used for pecking orders, but I suppose its just one of those things that'll stick with us, reminding us of our animal nature. Like the appendix.
