No, but I'm planning to. Don't know whether to restart my AS or to wait till the next game (assuming there will be one more gen VI game).
Kalos has a wide dex but I love Hoenn and there are lots of post-Kyogre Grass Pokémon.

I've done crystal with mono water, it was pretty easy. Although mono water is probably the easiest type to do it with, and crystal is a really easy game. The hardest would be like mono bug in platinum

Mono-Bug in BW2

Leavanny, Scolipede, Heracross, Galvantula, Crustle and Volcarona

So many trainers have random Flying or Rock moves in that game

A mono is hard because it can get boring- fast
You need a team of pokes you adore, or a team of pokes that are ridiculous hard to use
I did a BW2 mono bug-fucking loved it-but i sorted out my team before (Yanmega, Scoli, Crustle, Escav, Volcarona, Galvantula)
However I tried a mono fire run on HGSS and I hated it because I was overpowered, didnt have much of a team to start off with and when I got the win, I felt like I accomplished nothing

For a run to work I like to allow 1 new party slot after every gym, with the exeption of the first 2 gyms, so you have something to work with

Mono grass in omega ruby, was hella fun. Really missed the challenge in the last few games, so i decided to go with my favourite type as a mono run. Chose ruby over saphire for this reason. I even lost two whole fights, thanks to a nummel crit with ember from a grunt, and the camerupt being so damn strong.

It's hard to find a mono team where I can have the most necessary hms (fly and mostly surf) spread among them, I'd do more but I don't want to reset my ds games for a run, so it's emulator only.

I did an awesome poison monotype in Soulsilver.

I did poison and which worked out really well - Easy to get a few mons early and still catch new ones occasionally. I faced the Elite 4 with a team consisting of Crobat, Haunter, Tentacruel, Vileplume, Nidoking and Arbok. After the E4 I let myself replace two, so pic related was my final team.

Ironically if you're doing a Lance run you don't have a theme for the majority of the game. You've got three Dragon-types (Dratini/Dragonair) a Fire-type (Charmander/Charmeleon), a Water-type (Magikarp), and a Rock/Flying type.

What do you think would be most fun? hardest?

I'd want some diversity, fast attackers, slow attackers, etc and it'd be nice to have a surfer and flier.

Every gen, I do a monograss as a second run.

Plat was the best experience overall, HG/SS was brutal at the start, Whimsicott made a lower level team viable in B/W and B/W2 and Hoenn was easy thanks to Ludicolo and Tropius taking care of weaknesses, Kanto was went alright despite half the team being grass/poison.

I do them all the time. It's my go-to for starting new files after the first time I beat it. Ever since I did my first all-water team in the original Silver.
