No, I've restarted both my Blue and Silver files many times to replay them, so whichever file my Blastoise was on is gone.

However, I do still have a lot of my original Pokémon saved as registered teams on Stadium. Not Blastoise though, sadly.

My 2 oldest pokemon are a Blaziken named MAGNA and a Peliper from my first Sapphire play through. I traded most of the others since pretty much everything I caught as a kid had shit natures and IVs. I wish I could go back to the days when I simply loved what I caught and didnt see everything as numbers.

You could hack the Pokémon from scratch in PKHeX and it would achieve the same effect, an automated fan-made program operating outside the confines of the games isn't somehow more "legit" or whatever the fuck the autists who use this delude themselves into believing.

The only way you could possibly justify this is if you somehow found a way to physically connect the GB and GBA and move the Pokémon between them, and even then it's a lot of work for utterly pointless muh feels bullshit.

Nah, I gave red to my brother when I got yellow, and even if he hadn't started a new game I'm sure the battery would've died long ago. But unless you started in gen 3 what's the point? You can't transfer them up before then anyway so they're forever stuck in gen 1 or 2.

Yeah they use the batteries to keep the saves. I think it was volatile memory, so you needed to run a small current through it all the time. My gold save worked until about 2012 when I changed the battery out.

They're just bits of data, all that happens in conventional 'legit' transferring is the game deleting the data from cart A and recreating it in cart B with the same variable info (iv, ev, nature, nickname, etc.) They don't physically travel from one game to another you God damn autist.

I was like 12, all I knew was that same-type attacks got STAB so why wouldn't you do this.

Also, my brother's main was Jolteon and I thought about teaching Arcanine Dig but then I thought it was too cheap to cheese the type coverage like that.
