Japan is the only place to get this right, you have to go to specific locations in the country to get a pokemon via infared, none of this wifi or serial code shit.
My favourite is that Pikachu they had where in a large event they had girls dressed up as Pikachu and they had some sort of distribution device on them. Each girl had a different Pikachu on them, the trainers would have to follow the Pikachu around trying to connect to them.
That's a fucking event. Not a shitty reciept at GameStop.
