A few reasons.

>pokemon still uses a grid and mostly top down styled overworld
>this often means you're locked into a more stylized look unless you're cutting edge or on much better hardware than the 3DS
>Gamefreak has to include hundreds of pokemon for battle, amie, etc and make sure it doesn't crash or bug out
>a game like Detective Pikachu doesn't have to do anything like that
>they just need to have the pokemon chartacters animated for the most part and so they can devote more time on them looking good

Creatures is responsible providing for the Pokemon models if I recall correctly.

Their mistake was relying on GameFreak to scale said models down for optimization purposes.

Pokemon games don't even take the full extent of the 3DS cart space. It's fine.

I know, but this graphics are good for a handheld Pokemon game.

I didn't care about a Pokemon game's graphics until I saw this game and noticed that one of the developers of main games created this game.

True, but I'm fairly sure they wanted as many digital downloads as possible, and the original 3DS only had 2GB available.

I didn't know the exact size considering I saw a ROM of it that was in a .zip file that was that big, so I thought it was compressed, and thus bigger.

Creatures Inc. is mentioned in the credits because they own a third of the Pokemon IP (the other two thirds belonging to Game Freak and Nintendo). I don't think Creatures Inc. is involved at all with the mainline games (although they have made some of the spin-offs).

That's not true. Creatures still created the 3D models for XY/ORAS in cooperation with Game Freak.
